1. About this website
This website (the "Site") is operated by AJ Law Professional Corporation (the "Firm"), a law firm licensed by the Law Society of Ontario. By using the Site you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
2. No legal advice and no solicitor-client relationship
The information on the Site is provided for general information only. It is not legal advice, may not reflect the most current law, and may not apply to your circumstances. Reading the Site, sending us a message, or receiving a reply does not create a solicitor-client relationship. A solicitor-client relationship is formed only when the Firm has completed a conflict check and both you and the Firm have signed a retainer agreement.
3. Confidentiality of communications
Please do not send confidential or time-sensitive information through the Site's contact form or by email until a retainer is in place. Unsolicited information sent before a retainer may not be protected by solicitor-client privilege, and the Firm may be unable to act for you if a conflict of interest exists.
4. Intellectual property
The content of the Site, including text, graphics and logos, is owned by or licensed to the Firm and is protected by Canadian copyright law. You may view and print pages for personal, non-commercial use. Any other reproduction or distribution requires the Firm's written consent.

The Site may contain links to third-party websites. The Firm does not control and is not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites, and the inclusion of a link does not imply endorsement.
6. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Firm is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, the Site or its content, or from any interruption or unavailability of the Site.
7. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in Ontario. Any dispute relating to the Site shall be brought exclusively in the courts of Ontario.
8. Changes
The Firm may update these Terms from time to time by posting a revised version on the Site. Continued use of the Site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
